The Opening Ceremony for the 23rd Hobie® 16 World Championships kicked off in style with official speeches by Steve Fields (Hobie Cat Company), Rich McVeigh, David Brookes and Paul Pascoe of the International Hobie Class Association welcoming the first contingent of Hobie Sailors to arrive in Costa Brava.
International sailors from 6 continents and 22 countries enjoyed an evening of togetherness and tapas after a three year, Covid enforced break between Worlds. With much resilience after many set backs, and the tireless work of the Hobie Worlds Event Team and IHCA the 23rd Hobie 16 Worlds is finally upon us.
