The Hobie Worlds will be hold 3 official functions. Various dignitaries have been invited as special guests but
anyone is welcome to purchase a ticket for the functions - which include a full meal (by Christine Capendale )

Having exceeded all our expectations for Hobie youth development through 2007 has made it unnecessary for us
to hold the pre-world development week program and most of our 73 new sailors will be competing already.”

It has been announced in Cape Town that the 2008 ARGUS cycle tour is confirmed for Sunday 9th March.
This is the day after the Hobie Worlds finish. Many competitors may wish to take part in this infamous cycle tour
and we hope to have a youth contingent doing just that as well.

Important notes for you as a visitor at this time:
· Book flights early as they are going to be very full due to the cycle tour
· If you wish to spend time in Cape Town city plan to do so BEFORE the worlds begin so as to avoid the cycle
tour crowds.
· Also book accommodation in Cape Town city well in advance or you WILL be disappointed
· If you are planning a South African holiday ( not Cape Town city) i.e safari, consider doing this after the Worlds
which will free up the flights for you for your home voyage.
· If you want to compete in the tour, visit the site and book a spot now. Booking opened 1 September and is
already 25% booked.
